Wonderfully amazing! Mamta was very kind and attentive. She listened to us and made personalized menu recommendations. The food was delicious and the servings were appropriate. Nawab just earned some repeat guests.

Just amazing. The staff are nice and you always see the manager which is actually awesome. The lunch buffet is delicious. Definitely a great lunch spot.

We had a great lunch at Nawab! The staff was very friendly and dealt with our party of 8 with no issues. The restaurant has a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered from the menu and no one in our party was disappointed. The buffet looked very appetizing as well, and we’ll try that the next visit. Definitely recommend trying it out!

It is hard to define the attraction of Nawab in Newport News, because there is so much to love. I have often written reviews of Nawab for other travel sites online, but I return so regularly to dine there, alone or with Sheila or with our whole family, that I believe there is an almost indefinable magic that permeates the cuisine, the hosts, the ambiance,—here we still have heavy flatware, spotless crystal, romantic lighting, and tasteful, almost exotic, decor. Nawab “fills up your senses,” in the John Denver meaning of the term—but the dining experience is of course what you have come for, and whether you choose lamb, chicken, salmon, shrimp, paneer, or entirely vegetarian dishes, the mastery of spices and the preparation of each dish will—in my experience, anyway—enchant you to return again and again!

I have to say this place is AMAZING! From the customer service to the atmosphere and the food was exceptional. If you have never had a chance to taste Indian cuisine you just have to try this place. You will not be disappointed.

We had a very smooth and lovely dinner in Nawab Indian Cuisine. The dishes are flavorful. You can choice on a scale 1 to 5 how spice/hot you would like and its actually accurate to your desires. The table service is nice and fast. I will strongly recommend this place

This is a very nice location, with a comfortable atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and the food was good. They have a lunch buffet that is very nice. This means you can sample a variety of food without any wait time. It is a great place for a quick got lunch. Total time for lunch was just over 30 minutes, but could be less without chatting.

This place wasn't half bad at all. I use to live by this place at one time and never really paid it any attention until tonight. All I can say is the food was extremely flavorful! I don't think that I've ever had a bad experience at an Indian restaurant, this was wasn't an exception. The food was tasty, hot, and fresh! The spice in the food wasn't overwhelming either. I'd definitely eat here again if I was visiting Newport news.

Excellent food all the way, the service is really good as well. Love the atmosphere but i do not like that they rush u if u go at lunch time bc they close to go and pray. They close at 2 and if u go there around 1;30 they literally are putting u out.

1st time there for take out the hostess was wonderful and pleasant. She even fix me one of their popular martini and it was gooood and the food was Awsome😊. Will be going back very soon. Go stop by and have a bite

WOW! This place is amazing! Had the best food. Ordered the spicy mango chicken dish... I don’t even like mango.... BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. Service is amazing and the staff is super sweet! 100% tip from me. And we got awesome stylus pens.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the area. The food is absolutely great and the service is good too. I recommend this to everyone I can, and I will be a customer at long as it's open!

I had the pleasure of eating here for the first time on 2-3-20. I enjoyed the food a lot. If you're into foreign and spicy food this is a good place for you. It was also a great day to be with family. The staff was very curteous and professional.

Food is amazing, same as the customer service. The interior is very clean and nicely decorated as well. However, I can only give 4 stars because the water used in the fountain drinks is clearly not filtered and you can still taste the chlorine. Please install a water filter Nawab.

I love love love their food! The atmosphere is nice too. The waitress, however, didn’t hardly speak English but spoke Spanish instead and when we paid with cash at the end of our meal, she didn’t bring our change (assumed it was her tip but it was $13!) so we had to ask the manager for our change so we could tip and leave. That made for an uncomfortable and embarrassing situation that should’ve never happened if she’d brought us our change back after paying for our meal. I highly recommend this place otherwise as the food is on point!!

I absolutely hate their food! I t It all looks the same on ur plate I ate there when they first opened and again about a yr later to see if the food had changed it hadn’t I would stay away Unless u like unusually high contens of curry in ur food it’s a lot even in desserts So if you love curry b my guest please take my place cause I’ll not go again!

Good food and fast considering it was a lunch buffet. So much better than fast food- why wouldn't you eat here given the choice? Table service and hostess were delightful.

As always we received a warm greeting and excellent service. The lunch buffet is well stocked and my husband ordered the lamb which came out tender and juicy. We go back often and feed our inner fat kids. If you haven't gone you need to do yourself a favor and just pop in for a bite.

I’ve been traveling frequently to the area for the past 4 months, and this place has been one of my staples. The portions make for a good value, and the food is delicious. My only complaint relates to the fact that I’ve been getting takeout while traveling. The size of the containers makes it impossible to, for example, spoon your food over your rice. I ended up mostly just getting the biryanis, since those are served in one container, and don’t require a separate serving plate to enjoy.

Owners are lovely and friendly. Food is fresh and delicious. Never ever had an issue here. Feels like family when we walk in.

The best quality food and service with an awesome atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Now if your not crazy about spicy food you get the option here of 1 to 5 (5 being very spicy). The dessert are amazing as well so leave room for that!

The food here is great! The daily rotating lunch buffet allows you to sample a great deal of the cuisine offered here, and the dinner menu is incredibly delicious. If I had the money I would love to eat here for lunch and dinner every day for a month just to sample everything they offer! The staff here is very polite and attentive, the drinks rarely get to the bottom of the glass and your finished plate is cleared before you even realize anyone noticed you were done eating! I highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Indian cuisine or those who are interested in trying it.

Very bad experience! I went to Virginia Beach and stop by nawab restaurant at Newport News va! Their service was so bad no body have a smile on their face! I didn’t even like the food in lunch buffet! The food was not fresh and naan was badly cooked and requested for fresh naan and they just warm the old naans! Their service is very very poor ! I read the reviews before going there but I think they don’t even deserve one star ! They have only one dessert in buffet and the taste was so bad of that custard! Quality of their food so guys don’t go there! Their employees don’t know the customer I like to give them tip but I was so mad I didn’t even gave them tip! Very very poor service I must say!

I had an extraordinary time in this place. We loved the extraordinary environment and the meals. The waiters were super affable. I am content we ultimately managed to eat here.

I have coming to Nawab for 10 years. The food is Always fresh and flavorful. I am thoroughly satisfied with food and the warm customer service by the staff. This is definitely a hidden jewel in Newport News!

Lunch buffet is very small and barely adequate. Buffet includes vegetarian food options - would come back for the lunch. Service was friendly and there is a nice quiet atmosphere about the place. Price is very high for a single person lunch buffet at about $20 (includes a cup of tea). It seems that Newport News puts a steep tax on restaurant food, which added to the higher cost...eh, tourist towns!

So incredibly happy! This place was high quality, delicious, had a great and up-scale atmosphere, and my mother (whom is allergic to onions) was given great service. Love this place so much. I wish we lived here so I could come often. ♥️‼️

The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are amazing. They even gave me a box of chocolates after our Valentine's dinner!

The lunch buffet is always a good spread and the value is great. The dinner menu is great also, especially since you can increase the spiciness (the lunch buffet is generally mild with an item or two being somewhat spicy) with a variety of different meat and vegetable dishes. The staff is always welcoming. The goat biryani is my favorite so far.

The food is always great here. You can't go wrong with their buffet.
